Abstract

ABSTRAK Juliastuti, Dini. 2018. Pengaruh Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar dan kemandirian siswa pada materi kenakaragaman hayati kelas X SMA Negeri 01 Basarang. Siti Sunariyati, M.Si Kata Kunci: Discovery Learning, Hasil Belajar, Kemandirian Belajar, Keanekaragaman Hayati Proses belajar di SMA Negeri 01 Basarang masih tergolong teacher-center dimana siswa tidak memiliki keinginan untuk memberikan umpan balik atau respons pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa sulit mengemukakan pendapatnya ketika diberi pertanyaan oleh guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learniing terhadap hasil belajar dan kemandirian siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 01 Basarang Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan rancangan non equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 01 Basarang dengan sampel siswa kelas X MIA-1 dan X MIA-3. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada hasil belajar ranah kognitif diukur menggunakan soal tes dan pada hasil belajar siswa ranah afektif diperoleh dengan lembar observasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian digunakan uji-t dan kemandirian belajar berupa angket dan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis uji-t postes hasil belajar ranah kognitif diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,005 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil belajar ranah afektif rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 88,45 dikategorikan baik sekali, sementara rata-rata untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 81,36 dikategorikan baik. Hasil kemandirian belajar siswa berdasarkan observasi rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 4,30 dikategorikan mandiri, sementara untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 3,59 dikategorikan kurang mandiri, dan berdasarkan angket untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 3,49 dikategorikan kurang mandiri, dan untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 4,32 dikategorikan mandiri . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar ranah afektif dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Discovery Learning pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Basarang. Siti Sunariyati, M.Si Keywords: Discovery Learning , Learning Outcomes, Learning Independence, Biodiversity The learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Basarang is still classified as a teacher-center where students do not have the desire to provide feedback or responses during the learning process. This makes it difficult for students to express their opinions when asked questions by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model on learning outcomes and independence of class X students of SMA Negeri 01 Basarang This research was conducted with a non equivalent control group design . The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Basarang with a sample of class X students MIA-1 and X MIA-3. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique . Data collection techniques on cognitive domain learning outcomes were measured using test questions and on affective domain student learning outcomes were obtained with an observation sheet. Data analysis in the study used t-test and learning independence in the form of questionnaires and descriptive. The results showed that the results of the t-test posttest cognitive learning outcomes obtained value of 0.005 <0.05. This shows that the Discovery Learning model is very influential on student cognitive learning outcomes. Based on the affective domain learning outcomes the average experimental class of 88.45 was categorized very well, while the average for the control class of 81.36 was well categorized. The results of student learning independence based on the observation of the experimental class average of 4.30 are categorized as independent, while for the control class of 3.59 are categorized as less independent, and based on the questionnaire for the control class of 3.49 are categorized as less independent, and for the experimental class of 4 , 32 are categorized as independent. This shows that there is an influence of the Discovery Learning learning model on the learning outcomes of the affective domain and student learning independence. The conclusion of this study is learning by using Discovery Learning on Biodiversity material affects the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Basarang.
